About Communication

So, for this upcoming podcast project, I was asked to briefly reflect on what it means to "communicate."

Communication is, to me, any means of taking one idea -- which exists solely in the mind -- and expressing it in such a way that the idea and all concomitant semiotics are retained in the "target" audience.

Mathematically, one might consider communication to be a map, with the domain being the mind of the "expressor" and the codomain being the mind of the "expressee." Ideally, the map is both injective and surjective -- that is to say, there is no lost data through transference. The function that maps the domain to the codomain, in this particular instance, is "communication."

Communication can take many manifestations: written word, spoken word, gestures, other forms of body language, art... the methods of dissemination are boundless.

Through this podcast project, I hope to be able to not only facilitate my communicative abilities in hopes of the bijective bliss earlier outlined, but also to learn about the following things:

- How to better work with others and lead a group.
- How to express my thought processes artistically.
- How to say several new Japanese words and structure them into understandable sentences.
- Glean something regarding the cultures and customs of Japan (through research)
- Learn even MORE about Japan through the feedback from Japanese viewers.

Anyway, we'll see if it's successful. Let's do it!

ものの中で、女の人が一ばん好きです。でも、かのじょがいません。
女の人はからだがきれいで、くちが大きくて、たましいがしんせつです。
私はかのじょがほしいです。でも、わたしはあまりよくなかったですから、女の人はわたしが好きじゃありません。たいへんですね。。。
わたし：”すみません。明日、きっさってんへ行きませんか。
女の人：すみません。あしたはちょっと。。。
わたし：だめですか。えっと、あさってはどうですか。
女の人：すみません。ちょっと。
わたし：あのう。。。来週はどうですか。
女の人：ちょっと。すみません。オーギーさんはちょっと。。。クリーピー（ｃｒｅｅｐｙ）
